What is auto-zoom tracking? What is hybrid zoom?

Auto-zoom tracking automatically adjusts the camera's zoom based on detected motion, enabling you to capture the most important moments.

Hybrid zoom combines both optical and digital zooms for smoother and clearer long distance zooming.

Does Reolink TrackMix have auto-tracking?

Yes, the Reolink TrackMix series includes auto-tracking. It uses a dual-lens system to show both a wide overview and a zoomed-in close-up at the same time. When motion is detected, the camera can automatically pan, tilt, and zoom to follow and keep focus on moving people, vehicles, or pets.

How long can the Battery version work in rainy weather? Does the LTE version need a SIM card?

The Battery version lasts longer in dry conditions; for rainy weather, we recommend the PoE or Wi-Fi models for extended power and connectivity. The LTE version requires a SIM card for 4G connection.

Which model is compatible with the Reolink Home Hub Pro?

The Wi-Fi version is compatible with the Reolink Home Hub Pro. We recommend pairing it with the TrackMix Wi-Fi for optimal performance. (Link to Home Hub Pro Product)

How does Reolink TrackMix series work?

Auto-Tracking Modes:

Pan/Tilt Tracking First: The camera prioritizes physical movement, panning and tilting to keep the subject centered in the wide-angle view.

Digital Tracking First: It uses the telephoto zoom to follow the target initially, then switches to pan/tilt tracking once the subject reaches the edge of the frame.

Digital Tracking: The camera remains stationary and tracks the subject using digital zoom only, without any pan or tilt movement.

Installation & Recording Options:

Connectivity: Depending on the model, setup options include Wi-Fi, PoE (Power over Ethernet), or 4G LTE.

Storage: Footage can be stored locally on a microSD card (up to 512GB) or recorded to a Reolink NVR for extended storage and management.

Does the PoE version require professional installation? What are the network requirements for the Wi-Fi version?

The PoE version may require professional installation for optimal cable management. The Wi-Fi version requires a stable internet connection with a router that supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Does Reolink TrackMix series have AI?

The Reolink Trackmix does not come in special “AI versions.” Instead, it includes built-in smart detection features that are standard across current Reolink cameras.

It supports AI-based smart detection, allowing you to distinguish between people, vehicles, and animals, and you can adjust motion sensitivity for each type. It also includes other smart features that help fine-tune alerts and reduce false alarms, depending on how you set it up.

How long does a Reolink TrackMix battery last?

The Reolink TrackMix LTE Plus is equipped with a 14,400mAh battery. When fully charged, it offers flexible usage depending on the operating mode:

In standby mode, the battery can last for approximately one year.

In Standard Mode, it supports up to around 48 hours of continuous recording.

In Smart Battery Mode, it can extend recording time to about 72 hours.

Where should you place Trackmix series?

Driveway / Front Yard: This place allows the camera to capture incoming vehicles, visitors, and any unusual activity near the main entrance, while auto-tracking helps follow movement as it approaches the house. This is an ideal location for a PTZ camera, as the ability to pan, tilt, and zoom ensures full coverage of large, active areas—Reolink TrackMix PoE is a great option here for its stable connection and dual-lens tracking.

Side Doors & Corners: Side entrances are often less visible and more vulnerable. Placing the TrackMix here helps monitor hidden access points, especially areas that are not easily seen from the street or main entrance.

Garage Exterior: The garage is a common target for break-ins or unauthorized access. Installing the camera here provides clear monitoring of vehicles, tools, and entry activity around this high-value area.

Garden / Backyard: A garden or backyard placement is ideal for monitoring outdoor spaces, pets, or unexpected movement behind the home. The wide-angle + zoom tracking ensures both general coverage and detailed close-up views when motion is detected.
