HONG KONG, December 27, 2018 — Reolink today is thrilled to announce the launch of Argus PT —  an outdoor battery powered pan tilt security camera, which provides customers an outdoor security solution in a wire-free and all-around way.

For customers who want a solid security camera to monitor wide-range areas outside without power supply, an outdoor wire-free pan tilt security camera would be the best option.

Note: Reolink KeenTM 2 has been renamed as Argus PT.

Argus PT comes with 355° pan and 140° tilt, so customers can check every angle of their properties by putting this weatherproof camera on the porch, front door, etc.

By adding the Reolink Solar Panel, customers don't need to charge this outdoor rechargeable battery or solar powered security camera any more. Just put them there and just forget them!

Upon the launch of Reolink KeenTM and Argus 2, customers sent emails to Reolink staff, asking if there would be a pan and tilt version of Reolink Argus® 2, since they wanted to put up a wide-angle camera for monitoring their outside areas without power outlets.

Reolink values every customer's feedbacks. Since then, Reolink staff started to develop this kind of versatile battery powered security camera, and finally came back with the brand-new Argus PT to satisfy customers' security needs in a wire-free and all-around way.

Inheriting all the smart features of Reolink KeenTM, including pan & tilt, 100% wire free, two-way audio, etc., Argus PT adds IP65 weatherproof housing, and offers built-in PIR sensor, which enables customers to place this camera wherever they want without limited placements.

Instead of using the non-rechargeable batteries that first Keen adopted, this new camera features two power options (rechargeable battery or solar power), so customers don't need to buy replacement batteries on a daily basis.

The versatility and simplicity make the Argus PT become the unique outdoor and eco-friendly battery powered pan tilt security camera in the world.

Hi Elvia! What is the release date for the Keen 2? I don't see it listed for sale on the website. Also what are the key improvements when compared to the Argus 2? I was looking for a new camera this year from Reolink and/or Netgear and I've seen Netgear released Arlo Ultra (4K, improved night vision, motion tracking, etc) and Reolink is scheduled to release Keen 2, but the Keen 2 description above really only focuses on the battery, outdoor ability, and rotate/tilt aspects, which are all great, but what about improved night vision or improved motion detection/range or higher quality picture or faster frame rate (30 fps). Also, does the Keen 2 support the micro sd card like the Argus 2? Lastly, can the Keen 2 mount with a strap to a gutter like the Argus 2? I really wanted something new from Reolink that had all the functionality and options of the Argus 2, but better, so I'm just hoping the Keen 2 got some technical upgrades. I love that Reolink is affordable, I like all the mounting options for your cameras, and I love the solar, so fingers crossed the Keen 2 gets internal improvements. Thanks!

Hello Matthew, thank you so much for your interest on our Reolink Keen 2.

      1. Compared with the Argus 2, the key improvement is its pan tilt function. So you can monitor a wide range of area when putting this camera outside.

      2. The details of night vision distance, motion detection range, FPS and other details would be shown in the Specifications when the Keen 2 page is live (will be available soon 🙂

      3. Yes, the Keen 2 will have an SD card slot so that you can get local video recordings by inserting the SD card into this camera 🙂
